Meet the 2026 Junior Board of Directors!
BISSELL Pet Foundation is dedicated to finding every pet a loving home, and this mission is made possible through the generosity of donors, sponsorships from businesses like BISSELL Homecare Inc., and the active involvement of young professionals serving on BPF’s Junior Board. Meet our 2026 ambassadors below, as they passionately support BPF’s campaigns and events throughout the year!

Katherine McIntyre
Kate is a first-year BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board Member. She currently lives in Jenison, MI, with her husband, Eric, and their two dogs, Ryder and Roo. Kate works at Perrigo as a Senior Associate Marketing Manager and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Marketing. She still enjoys returning to East Lansing for football and basketball games! In her free time, Kate loves reading, traveling, spending time in northern Michigan with her family, and enjoying life with her pups and husband. She has a deep love of animals and a passion for animal welfare, having spent time walking dogs at the Kent County Animal Shelter.

Anna Soltis
Anna resides in Grand Rapids with her husband, Ben, and their rescue pup, Ruthie. She earned her BBA from Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame and has spent the last eight years building a career in the aerospace industry. When she’s not at work, Anna is usually taking Ruthie on a trail run or staying deeply involved in the community she loves. She’s passionate about service, building meaningful connections with neighbors, and supporting organizations that make a real difference (especially those that help our 4-legged friends!)

Samantha Miller
Sam is a changemaker at heart and a storyteller by trade. She has spent over a decade helping national and regional animal welfare organizations advance their lifesaving missions through strategic communications. She currently leads earned media strategy at LifeStance Health, one of the nation’s largest outpatient mental health care providers. Across her work, she’s seen how caring for others – people and animals – strengthens lives and communities, shaping her philosophy that caring for animals also means caring for the people who love them. Her “soul dog,” whose memory continues to inspire her, showed her how deeply pets enrich our lives, fueling her passion for keeping families together. Sam’s home is a revolving door for foster animals – and she makes sure it’s always fully stocked with treats for her next guest. Sam looks forward to partnering with fellow board members who share her passion for saving lives.

Cassidy Chambers
Cassidy is a second year BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board member and a passionate rescue animal advocate. Cassidy resides in Detroit with her fiancé and their two rescue dogs, Rocky and Skip, an #EmptyTheShelters Adoptee! Cassidy has spent 5+ years volunteering at local animal shelters, opening her home to the occasional foster puppy, and working to improve access to animal welfare resources in her community. Cassidy is a proud University of Michigan graduate, and currently works at Ballard Spahr LLP in their business development department. Outside of work, you can find Cassidy enjoying an early morning Pilates class, trying new restaurants in Detroit, or traveling with friends. Cassidy is particularly passionate about the power of education and outreach and is incredibly excited to serve on the Junior Board.

Frances Carroll
Fran is a Sr. Manager of Marketing Technology for a Chicago brand. She is a Chicagoland native that now lives in GR with her husband and rescue pitbull, Elsie. Fran loves to foster animals in the greater Grand Rapids area through the Humane Society of WM and Michelle’s Rescue. She is proud to be a part of the 2026 Junior Board and work with BISSELL Pet Foundation saving lives around the world.

Crystalle Izzo
Crystalle is a Michigan native and lifelong animal lover with a strong passion for creativity and adventure. She is a proud dog mom of Milo, a spirited 3-year-old Border Collie/Springer Spaniel mix, who often joins her on local hikes and outdoor adventures. Crystalle works as the Partner Support Lead for Construction Simplified, where she focuses on operations and marketing. In her free time, she runs a small lettering and illustration business, showcasing her artistic talents and creative spirit. As a second-year member of the BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board, Crystalle is thrilled to contribute her energy and passion to support animals and make a positive impact in her community!

Sarah Gallagher
Sarah is in her second year as a Junior Board Member and could not be more excited to serve the Detroit animal community through BISSELL Pet Foundation! She is passionate about animal rescue and “Adopt Don’t Shop”, having always had the biggest heart for all animals of any shape and size. Sarah graduated from Hope College in 2018 and currently works at Merrell in digital marketing. She and her husband, Andrew, have two rescues of their own; Chewy, a 9-year-old orange tabby cat, and Rocco, a 2-year-old Lab mix.

Nicholas Glazier
Nicholas is a project specialist and full-time foster parent currently residing in Rochester, Michigan. He is a Michigan native with a degree in Finance from Oakland University and currently works for Solyco Capital. His love for saving animals led him to become a foster parent to many dogs, his current one being Raven, an 8-year-old pitbull mix with scoliosis and heartworm. He lives with Raven in his apartment in Rochester, where he spends time at the gym and taking walks downtown.

Parker May
Parker is a second year BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board member residing in Milwaukee, WI with her husband and two rescue dogs. She attended Grand Valley State University and began her nonprofit marketing career with the Humane Society of West Michigan. With over four years of experience in the animal welfare world, she understands the unique challenges that come with rescuing pets and finding their forever homes. Parker now works as a digital fundraising strategist at Moore, helping nationally recognized nonprofit organizations exceed their goals and fuel their missions. She is thrilled to join the BPF Junior Board and make a lasting difference on pets across the country.

Kat Anderson
Kat is a Brand Experience Specialist at an EMR software company and full-time pet enthusiast currently residing in Nashville, TN. She is a Michigan native with a degree in Business and Art from Aquinas College and previously worked at BISSELL Pet Foundation for 7 years prior to her move South. Kat and her husband Nick have two rescue dogs, Iris and Tom. Together they love to travel, go on walks and try new foods whenever they can.

Coco McKeough
Coco is excited to serve her first year as a 2026 Junior Board Member with BISSELL Pet Foundation. Based in Grand Haven, Michigan, she was introduced to animal advocacy when adopting her childhood dog with the help of BISSELL Pet Foundation, an experience that sparked her passion for animal welfare and rescue. Coco is a Business graduate from the University of Utah and works as a Category Manager, while also coaching skiing and competing in sailing. Through her involvement with BISSELL Pet Foundation, she hopes to help increase awareness around adoption, support initiatives that expand access to safe, loving homes for pets in need, and contribute to the Fix the Future program.

Mollee Pifer
Mollee is the Assistant Director of Wellness at AHC Hospitality, spreading compassion and care wherever she goes. Her belief in whole-person wellness naturally extends to her passion for animal welfare, which she proudly champions as a new member of the BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board. When she’s not advocating for pets in need, Mollee is happily being bossed around by her two rescued cats, Sol and Luna — the center of her world and her daily reminder of why rescue, love, and kindness matter.

Marissa Moore
Marissa Moore is a first-year member of the BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board of Directors and a passionate advocate for animal rescue and adoption. Based in Tampa, Florida, Marissa works in corporate wellness, where she designs and supports wellness programming for corporate clients with a focus on improving employee health and well-being. Her commitment to service is rooted in her background in public health and her personal love for animals, inspired by her rescue dog, Blue. Marissa is honored to support BISSELL Pet Foundation’s mission and is excited to contribute to efforts that help pets find loving, permanent homes.

Mitchell Doyle
This is Mitchell’s second year on the BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board. During his childhood, his family focused on fostering dogs and cats and after a short hiatus from the rescue world he jumped back into fostering during his senior year of college. Mitchell lives in the Grand Rapids area and helps take care of pets for family and friends. He has a passion for animal advocacy and wants to stay involved in the welfare of all shelter pets. He hopes to bring energy and vision to the Junior Board and is excited to be a voice for all four- legged friends.

Brenna Clay
Brenna is a Michigan native and grew up in rescue-loving family. This is her fourth year on the board, serving her second year as the Board Chair, and is excited to continue to share how rewarding animal adoption can be. A passionate brand marketer for Chaco Footwear, she brings creativity to her role while sharing the foundation’s mission of animal welfare. Brenna is a proud pet mom to her dogs, Dax and Murphy, and her cat, Nevis. She hopes to continue inspiring others to adopt, advocate, and support efforts that give every pet a chance at a loving home.

Katelynn Coleman
Kate is a third-year BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board member, passionate about animal adoption and BPF’s mission: “Until every pet has a home.” She works as a Provider/Scientist Recruiter at Mayo Clinic and is a proud Michigan native with degrees from Michigan State and Central Michigan University. Outside of work, Kate enjoys yoga, pilates, MSU tailgates, and adventures with her rescue dogs, Bella (adopted through Empty the Shelters) and Katie (a BPF connection adoption with a coincidental name match). She is honored to support BISSELL Pet Foundation’s efforts to create lasting change in animal welfare!

Addison Forrester
Addison is excited to join the BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board for her first year as a member! She is a venture builder at Centered, a West Michigan venture studio, and the founder of Life & Etc., a permanent jewelry and custom engraving small business. As recent Lindenwood University graduate, with a B.A. in Entrepreneurship, she is excited to be back in West Michigan. She’s always had a big soft spot for pets, especially dogs, so she’s excited to jump in!

Angelina Hull
Angie is a Louisiana native and soon-to-be veterinarian, graduating from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2026. She is actively involved in volunteering through local BPF-sponsored outreach initiatives and Spay/Neuter days with her favorite Louisiana organization, KatVet. Outside of veterinary medicine, Angie enjoys traveling with her husband, Austin, a pilot, and spending time outdoors hiking or riding her horse, Cricket. She is excited to further immerse herself in the world of HQHVSN and community outreach following graduation and through her involvement with the BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board.

Ashley Francis
Ashley is an East Grand Rapids native who currently works as a Dermatology Sales Specialist at Amgen. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in nonprofit management and social innovation from Kennesaw State University in Georgia. She has always had a passion for rescue work and rescue pets. While living in Arizona, Ashley was able to rescue her dog Poppy, a pittie mix, from the Arizona Animal Welfare League during an Empty the Shelters event. When not working, you can find Ashley walking her dog or spending time outside with her husband and daughter enjoying Michigan’s beautiful scenery.

Regan Majerle
Regan is thrilled to serve as a first-year member on the BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board. Born and raised in West Michigan, she is a lifelong animal lover and advocate. In 2020 she rescued her dog, JoJo, who serves as a constant reminder of the animals who have yet to find their forever home. Passionate in marketing and communications, she works at Priority Health as a Marketing Specialist. In her free time, you can catch her enjoying a coffee, thrifting or coaching dance!

Kate Grossman
Kate is a third year BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board. She recently moved to Grand Rapids after time in Traverse City and prior to that 8 years in New York. She works in innovation and product strategy, and grew her animal loving to new heights during a six year tenure working for BarkBox. She has two rescue dogs, Ripley and Mia, and a young daughter, Ivy. She’s looking forward to engaging with the broader Grand Rapids community, and fellow animal lovers.

Indi Cowie
Indi is excited to start her second year on the BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board! She is a professional soccer freestyler, influencer, and pet parent. When Indi isn’t playing soccer, she is rescuing and fostering animals! Indi is passionate about animal welfare and rescue and is excited to help save more lives with BPF.

Sydney Wolff
Sydney is a second year BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board member. She currently lives in Grand Rapids with her 2 year old rescue pup Alfie. Sydney is a Visual Merchandising Specialist for Meijer where she elevates customer in store experience through visual presentations. Sydney is a graduate from Miami University where she studied Interactive Media and Design. After spending 4 years in Chicago post grad, Sydney moved back to Grand Rapids and adopted Alfie through a BPF rescue. In her free time she loves to spend time at the lake, be with family and friends and enjoys skiing during the Michigan winters. Sydney looks forward to learning more in order to be a strong resource for animal adoption and continue to spread the good word of rescue efforts.

Megan Irish
Megan is a Minneapolis, MN, resident and is excited to be serving her third year on the BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board. She is passionate about connecting others to BPF’s mission through local events and everyday conversation. Megan enjoys fostering dogs, volunteering at the local Pet Food Shelf, and proudly supports “Adopt Don’t Shop,” alongside her family rescue pup, Emmy.

Sarah-Katherine Bickerstaff
Sarah-Katherine is a second year BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board Member. She lives in Birmingham, AL with her husband and two rescue dogs, Dexter and Milo. Sarah-Katherine graduated from The University of Alabama with a bachelor’s and master’s in accounting and currently works as Controller at eCatholic. Her passion for animal welfare shows with multiple years volunteering and serving on the junior board of her local humane society. Outside of work and helping shelter animals, Sarah-Katherine enjoys running and loves to curl up with a good book.

Kayla Hanson
Kayla is a third year BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board Member and is thrilled for the opportunity to continue her involvement in the community through BISSELL Pet Foundation. As a long-time animal lover and recent adopter of Frito, a 3-year-old American Staffy, Kayla is passionate about animal advocacy and sharing the joy of adoption. Kayla is a digital marketer for Merrell, a MSU Spartan, and enjoys spending her free time playing outdoors or curled up on the couch with Frito.

Anna Lindeboom
Anna is a second year BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board Member. As a long-time animal lover, she is extremely passionate about rescuing animals and building community amongst the next generation of pet parents. Anna’s childhood dog (a rescue named Tink), inspired a lifelong love for all creatures, big and small. A graduate of Grand Valley State University, Anna is now pursuing a Master’s in Communications. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, reading, and exploring the beauty of Michigan.

Kacie Rispler
Kacie is a first year BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board Member. She lives in Grand Rapids with her boyfriend Ryan and rescue dog Lilly. Kacie received her Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State in Human Bio, now she works at Cancer and Hematology. She loves walking in Ada with Lilly, going to Pilates, and cooking!

Jordyn Heisdorf
Jordyn is a first year Junior Board Member and can’t wait to continue making positive change in animal welfare. She is a Wisconsin native but is currently based in Minneapolis, MN. Jordyn holds a Sociology degree from UW-La Crosse and held previous roles in marketing. Most recently, she has held roles in both Individual and Institutional Giving within animal welfare. She currently works as the Corporate Relations Specialist at Animal Humane Society (AHS) in Minnesota. Jordyn rescued her pup, Caya, from a Milwaukee-based shelter in 2020 and her cat, Juniper, from AHS in 2024.

Andrea Photiou
Meet Andrea, an Interaction Designer on the Consumer Design team at BISSELL Homecare Inc. Andrea prides herself on being a designer who brings joy to both the human and animal experience through innovative product design. Beyond her professional pursuits, a love for pets is a driving force in her life. She has two dogs, Dexter and Penny, and has been volunteering with animal welfare groups for over a decade. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, playing D&D, and ping-pong.

Danielle Kelly
Danielle is excited to return for a second year serving on the BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board. Her passion and experience for animal advocacy spans more than a decade and includes volunteering for various rescues in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. Last year, her most memorable moment was being able to volunteer for an airplane transport from Alabama. Danielle works as a Senior Operations Excellence Specialist at American Family Insurance and lives in Madison, Wisconsin with her husband Joe and cherished rescue dog, Sonny.

Laura Schultz
Laura Schultz is an Art Director at AMP Agency and received her degree in art and design from the University of Michigan. She currently lives in Rockford, Michigan with her husband and adopted dog, Walter. As a passionate animal lover, Laura is excited to serve her third year on BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Junior Board as an advocate for animal rescue.

Megan Vanderploeg
Meg is a second-year Junior Board member and is thrilled to continue supporting her community through BISSELL Pet Foundation. Her passion for animal welfare began early, leading her to take veterinary courses at Michigan State University, where she earned a B.S. in Marketing. While living in Chicago, Meg volunteered with PAWS Chicago and ran two marathons in support of the organization. In addition to her advocacy work, she is the founder of East Embroidery, a custom embroidery and apparel business. Meg lives in East Grand Rapids with her husband, Nate, their four sons, and their foster pup, Mogul.

Jenna Wood
Jenna Wood, a native of Muskegon, Michigan, is a passionate animal advocate and a proud graduate of Grand Valley State University, where she earned a degree in Business Marketing. With a lifelong love for animals, Jenna is committed to supporting BISSELL Pet Foundation’s mission to reduce pet homelessness and promote animal welfare. Outside of her work with the foundation, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.

Katiann Scherer

Jennifer Hooker
Jennifer grew up in East Grand Rapids and is currently finishing her senior year at the University of Michigan, where she studies Communications and Media with a focus on Sales and Business Development. Having grown up surrounded by dogs and their unconditional love, she is deeply passionate about helping every pet find a safe and loving home. After rescuing her two dogs, Simba and Nala, she became even more motivated to make a greater impact in the animal welfare space. In her free time, she enjoys playing racket sports and spending quality time with friends and family.

Polina Best
This is Polina’s second year on the BISSELL Pet Foundation Junior Board. Polina is extremely passionate about animals and is committed to the mission of BPF. Polina is looking forward to participating in making a difference in animals lives and hopes to help every pet find a home. Polina is a Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree of Psychology and is a current student working towards her Masters in Family and Consumer Science at Western Michigan University.

Chance Nesloney
Chance is a native Texan that made the move to the Grand Rapids area with his wife and their two dogs, Trigger and Dawson, in 2021. 2025 was bittersweet as they lost Dawson but welcomed their first baby, a beautiful girl, Blaire. Chance works at Consumers Energy as a Technician Contractor Supervisor and is passionate about hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Chance is a second year Junior Board member.
