Keeping Shelter and Community Pets Healthy

Why We Do This Work

Access to vaccines is essential to healthier pet populations both inside and outside of the shelter.

How We Make a Difference

BISSELL Pet Foundation’s vaccine initiative protects shelter pets and community pets from needlessly contracting life-threatening illnesses, such as distemper, parvo and rabies. By providing vaccines to shelters that cannot afford them and offering free and low-cost vaccine clinics to underserved communities, BPF is ensuring healthier shelter populations and healthier family pets.

With BISSELL Pet Foundation’s support, Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare was able to vaccinate 1,700 dogs over the span of three Saturdays. The clinic’s success really highlighted the need for increased pet education and resources in the Texas panhandle. Thank you BPF for your support and partnership!”
