BISSELL Pet Foundation’s National Shelter Alliance program provides crisis management and disaster planning for animal shelters during disaster and cruelty response efforts, and extends a lifeline to shelters in need.

How We Make a Difference

Crisis Management & Stabilization

Intrastate and regional support for shelters in need.
Consultations with staff and referrals to industry experts for various resources, messaging and population management.
Disaster/cruelty field response.
Transport of pets, including support in navigating USDA and state-level guidelines.

Disaster Preparedness & Training

Free assessment of disaster plan.
Customized disaster planning and training to meet agency needs.
Intrastate and regional networking and coalition building to address cruelty and disaster situations.
