Lots of Happy Tail Wags for the Animal Adoption Center

Pets bring so much joy to their owners; so, as owners, we want to make sure our pets get the best.  Unfortunately, some pet owners don’t have access to veterinary care for their furry friends. The BISSELL Pet Foundation was happy to award the Animal Adoption Center, a rescue and adoption organization in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, with a $10,000 grant for their Spay/Neuter Wyoming program.  Funds were used to assist Native Americans with their pets on the Wind River Reservation which has no animal control department, veterinary clinic, or shelter.

The BISSELL Pet Foundation grant provided spay/neuter surgeries and vet care for 264 animals on the reservation. They were also able to perform other necessary surgical procedures on cats and dogs in need. During the clinics, the Animal Adoption Center pulled eleven unwanted and stray dogs and admitted them to their rescue program. The dogs were all spayed/neutered, given vaccinations or vet care and successfully rehomed in the Jackson Hole area!

Russ Animal Adoption Center

Russ

One dog, Russ, was found living in the dump. He was eating trash to survive and was covered in fleas and infested with worms. They couldn’t resist his sweet nature and puppy dog eyes, and made a very quick decision to bring him back with them. Russ quickly found a loving and devoted home in Jackson! One night was all it took for them to know that he was the perfect addition to their family!
