South Carolina Cruelty Case
BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Animal Incident Management® (AIM) Team was contacted by Saint Frances Animal Center in Georgetown, SC, after more than 100 pets were seized and later surrendered as part of a cruelty case. At a time when shelters across the country are already stretched to capacity, a large-scale intake like this can be overwhelming. It was devastating for the Saint Frances Animal Center.
While the Saint Frances team works tirelessly on the ground to provide care, safety and comfort to these dogs, our AIM Team is working behind the scenes to identify placement opportunities so they can begin their journey toward healing and eventually find loving homes.
Aspen Acres Fire Response
When the Aspen Acres fire, one of Colorado’s largest wildfires on record, forced emergency evacuations near Pueblo, many families had to leave home quickly and didn’t have a place where they could stay with their pets or protect their farm animals.
