On June 11, we rocked our Blocktails at the “Best DOG-GONE Party in Town!” The 14th annual BISSELL Blocktail Party raised critical life-saving funds for pets in shelters and rescues and we’re so thankful for all the volunteers, sponsors and attendees who made 2019 our most rockin’ year yet! Fellow pet lovers were invited to bring their four-legged friends to partake in all the fun-filled Blocktail festivities.

New to the party this year, attendees dressed their pets for the celebrity-judged costume contest with BISSELL product giveaways to all the awesome winners. DJ Adrian “AB” Butler kept the party on beat with rockin’ hits while Tito’s Handmade Vodka served up some dog-inspired cocktails with a special Spin-to-Win game. The Marvelous Mutts Dog Show captivated guests with three performances throughout the evening. Party-goers had exclusive access to free advice from professional trainers and experienced veterinarians, including Marty Becker, “America’s Veterinarian” seen on Good Morning America.

Each year, BISSELL Pet Foundation celebrates a special Blockstar as the mascot of the BISSELL Blocktail Party. This year, an Australian Cattle Dog named Page helped bring attention to a party with a purpose! Page’s road to stardom wasn’t easy as she went from a puppy mill, to a shelter, then to a rescue organization in Michigan that specializes in Cattle Dogs. Page’s mom, Kristie, had a special love for energetic and intelligent Cattle Dogs ever since she became a foster failure to one. When Page popped up on the rescue site, there was an instant pull from her heart.

BPF loved having Page as the Blockstar and now the honor will be passed on to the reigning pet of 2020. Stay tuned for the big reveal next year and mark your calendar for the 15^th BISSELL Blocktail Party celebrations on June 8 and 9, 2020. Rock on!
