Join the RESISTANCE Against Pet Overpopulation

By standing together to RESIST the cause of pet overpopulation, we can ease the burden on our nation’s animal shelters, keep families together and stop the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets. At BISSELL Pet Foundation, we’ve had enough—enough crowded shelters, enough unplanned litters and enough euthanasia due to lack of space. We say no more!

We refuse to accept that pets are born to be homeless or that entire communities have no access to spay/neuter. We’re doing something about it and you can join us.

We all must do more to prevent millions of pets from entering our nation’s shelters each year. BPF’s Fix the Future® program brings spay/neuter to communities that need it most by contracting with high-quality, high-volume veterinarians. Whether for shelter pets, owned pets, or TNR (trap-neuter-release), BPF is expanding access every day. As of July 1, BPF’s Fix the Future® program has provided 85,000 spay/neuter surgeries in 2025, but we’re just getting started. Our goal is to reach 190,000 pets this year.

We cannot do this alone. It is difficult to fundraise for spay/neuter, not because it doesn’t work, but because most people don’t understand how widespread and complicated the lack of veterinary services has become. The only barrier to BPF’s ability to provide more surgeries is funding.
